“What then is time? If no one asks me, I know what it is. If I wish to explain it to him who asks, I do not know”, Saint Augustine once said.
I think the concept of “Time” is representative for a whole class of concepts that we can easily work with, but cannot define with true depth.
Have you ever thought of the fact that each word in a dictionary is defined by using other words in the same dictionary, and in a sense, each concept definition is circular? It is the same as saying: “What is blue?” – “Blue is the colour of the sky.” “Then what is sky’s colour?” “Blue.”.
If you’ve ever asked yourself questions such as “What is time?”, “Who am I?”, “What is consciousness?” or “What is pleasure?” – but not just asked them – instead, really put forward your thought and efforts into searching for an answer, then I think you’ll love this book.
